    Everyone has their own personal reasons why they volunteer. “Giving back” probably hits the top of the list. Why do we want to give back?     I enjoy working with the staff and especially with the clients. I like to do what I can to help people through some of the difficulties they are experiencing. Knowing where I can refer someone for help or just taking time to listen to someone can make such a difference. I appreciate the fact that I can be involved in an organization that really wants to help people according to their needs and not have to be concerned into which “box” or category they fit.

    I am retired, so it is something for me to do and feel l am giving back to the community.

    The CROSS people have become friends that helped us adjust when we moved to MN 5 years ago. It gave us many acquaintances with smiling faces.

    It’s meaningful to me that I’m actively giving in my own community and teaching my child the importance of giving as well.
